Conference Embargo Policy

In the case of AIDS 2014, as with most scientific/medical conferences, all conference abstracts are released to delegates under a strict embargo policy. Read the embargo policy


Third party press conferences

When not in use by conference organizers and partners, two press conference rooms in the media centre will be available for use by third parties. More info and schedule


Affiliated Independent Events

Other meetings, symposia, forums or events organized for conference delegates outside the conference venue by other organizations are referred to as Affiliated Independent Events. They are held during times that do not conflict with the conference programme.

ICASO, in partnership with the Interagency Coalition for AIDS and Development (ICAD), has launched "StepWise: The Community Guide to AIDS 2014", an online hub for information related to AIDS 2014.

July is flu season in the Southern Hemisphere and it is possible that you may have been exposed to flu while attending AIDS2014. We have been made aware that a number of delegates may have been diagnosed with influenza A - which is the main circulating strain of flu currently in Melbourne. Delegates who are ill with flu-like symptoms, such as fever or cough, should seek medical attention.

In partnershp with the broadcasting company WebsEdge, the conference will provide an on-site AIDS 2014 TV channel featuring programme highlights and interviews. AIDS 2014 TV will be available on the conference website, on YouTube and on social media.

News Reports by NAM

NAM will offer news stories on major scientific presentations and host online discussion forums for HIV implementers. NAM will also publish a free daily news bulletin in English and translated into French, Portuguese, Spanish and Russian.
